Along Side Ministries Office Assistant Job Description
Along Side Ministries is looking for a part-time office assistant for 20 hours per week to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office. You will be assisting the Ministry Assistant and (the Business Manager as needed), as well as managing files, updating paperwork, preparing documents and other materials, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands as specified. This is a temporary position with a possibility of becoming permanent.
Duties will include:
• Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
• Answering the phone at a reception desk and transferring calls as needed.
• Sorting and delivering incoming mail and collecting and sending outgoing mail.
• Scan donations to Business Manager.
• Send Business Manager the rent amounts for both men and women.
• Prepare ministry material i.e.: Big Book, Discipleship Training Books, Volunteer packets, or other projects assigned by Ministry Assistant.
• Filling and organizing office documents, such as reports and other documents.
• Monitoring office inventory and ordering supplies.
• Recording information as needed.
• Greeting clients and visitors.
Office Assistant Requirements:
• High school diploma or Associate degree.
• Experience as an office assistant or in a related field.
• Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
• Warm personality with great communication skills.
• Ability to work well under limited supervision.
• Computer experience on Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
