Bequests in Will or Trust

Want to be remembered? With a gift to Along Side Ministries in your Will or Trust, you can make a lasting difference for incarcerated men and women.

A bequest may be a line in a Will or Estate Plan designating Along Side Ministries a fixed amount, a specific asset, or a fixed percentage of your estate’s residual value.

If you have named Along Side Ministries in your Will or Trust, please let us know so we can ensure that your gift is used according to your wishes. Notifying us of your plans will enable us to plan for the use of your future gift.

 

However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.

Sample Language

A. For an unrestricted gift that allows Along Side Ministries to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your Will or Trust:

“I give Along Side Ministries, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization currently located at 2830 W. Northern Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85051, or its successor thereto, _____ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.

 

B. To designate your provision for a particular purpose:

 

“I give Along Side Ministries, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization currently located at 2830 W. Northern Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. 85051, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property]. This gift should be used for (stated purpose) if and so long as Along Side Ministries determines that the need exists. If Along Side Ministries shall determine at the outset or at a later time that the need does not exists, or no longer exists, or for some reason it is not possible (or prudent) to administer my gift as initially intended, Along Side Ministries may, at its sole discretion direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to the stated above.
