I consider it a great honor to be joining Along Side Ministries. I stand on the shoulders of many great men and women of God who came before me. I am delighted to be a part of such a dedicated and hardworking team of Board, staff, and volunteers who serve tirelessly to provide opportunities for the incarcerated to know Christ and make a successful transition to independent living.
My 30+ year ministry career has been primarily in building and running rescue mission ministries that provide Christ-centered solutions to life-controlling problems. Many program participants came from incarceration.
I have always desired to create programs on the inside that help prepare the incarcerated for the trauma of reentry, and thus greatly increase the probability for success. This is exactly what ASM does by providing Bible studies, discipleship, and one on one mentoring with inmates.
Upon release, they are picked up by their mentors and brought to our residential Discipleship Training Centers for our 9-month transitional program. They gain employment, plug into the local church, and receive the support and guidance they need to thrive.
After 8 weeks I finally received my “Badge” which gives me visitation privileges in Arizona prisons. I have been visiting all the facilities we are in and witnessing the great work being done by our staff and volunteers. I am amazed to see and hear stories of transformed lives everywhere I go, both on the inside and outside.
There has never been a more exciting time to serve our Lord and His people. Will you join us? Our God is great and mighty to save.
