Chad Anderson
Drugs and violence were once the central theme in the life of Chad Anderson. Then he met Jesus! As Chad was planning his journey from prison to freedom, he applied for and was accepted in the Along Side Ministries’ Discipleship Training Program. Chad graduated with honors from the program and continued to successfully unpack his transition plan. In June of 2008, God introduced a new and unexpected factor in his plan. Her name is Jenna.
After dating for several months, Chad ask Jenna’s father for her hand in marriage. The answer was a resounding NO. Jenna’s father, a man of God, needed to confirm certain things in the life of this man who wanted to marry his only daughter. Chad responded; “Your yes will be God’s yes for me.” On Memorial Day of 2009, with her father’s blessing, Chad proposed to Jenna. On August 8, 2009, a beautiful ceremony took place, at Along Side Community Church, as God joined Chad and Jenna together as husband and wife.
Anthony Sena
Introduced to Christ as a child, true discipleship did not begin for Anthony Sena until he was incarcerated in 2005. Anthony’s three children paid the ultimate price because of his sever addiction to crack cocaine for over 10 years.
Following his release from prison to the Men’s Discipleship Training Center, he secured employment, began to stabilize his life and deeply desired to initiate contact with his children. This current picture says a thousand words. God has been faithful to His word in restoring this family.
Melissa Brooks
On December 2, 2005, prior to Melissa’s incarceration, she gave birth to a precious baby girl. Two days later her daughter was removed from her custody and placed in foster care, because of her chronic addiction to drugs. One year later her daughter was adopted by the same family she was placed with. Today after finishing her programming at the Women’s Discipleship Training Center, Melissa has a relationship with her child and has been reconciled with 2 older daughters and her 3 granddaughters. She is blessed.
