Many Ex-offenders leave prison with:

A $50 Check
No place to go
No Family Support
No Job

Any wonder why so many don’t make it?

HAYWARD HOUSES   for women                                 BELMONT APARTMENTS for men

Once released, ex-offenders move into one of the Discipleship Training Center Apartments where they have a safe living environment and learn to apply their Christian principals on the outside. Here they receive food, clothing, employment assistance and transportation support as they re-enter the job market. We also help them to locate a church home and some kind of service opportunity..

We presently have one apartment complex and two houses which can accomodate 32 men and three 4 bedroom homes which will house 14 women.  We are developing additional facilitiesfor men and women   who aren't quite ready to be on their own but don't need the structure of our programs may live for an additional 6 - 12 months.  We are looking for additional men's and women's facilities.
"I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel."

  Victorious Christian Living

VCL Training

DTC residents also participate in Victorious Christian Living (VCL). It is a comprehensive discipleship series that equips them with spiritual, psychological, social, physical, financial, marital and parenting skills. We embrace VCL's vision to see the body of Christ grow to spiritual maturity through discipleship. To learn more about Victorious Christian Living go to www.vcli.org.

Life Skills Training

There are several other programs taught at the apartments. Volunteers teach basic finance, cooking and computer skills. Weekly Bible studies are mandatory and emphasize applying Christian principles to everyday living.
